When a space turns out to be a place

How valuable, how fulfilling and how memory-evoking a subway station can be?

You cannot believe how it turns into an experience bar when you visit it every single day on your way to school with different concerns in your mind.

It turns into a “place” rather than a mundane “space” when you load your precious memories, experiences, and feelings into it.

It turns out to be a place when it has a meaning for you.

It does, especially when you give it a critical gaze, observing how the junctions — having a vast piece of land in between — separate the city, and so the frame, into two distinct parts.

It turns out to be a place when you start to see the formation, composition and even infrastructure of the landform you are beholding.

Furthermore, it turns out to be a real place; when you sense that the space is being pricelessly meaningful to you when it is just nothing for anyone else.

And most interestingly, it turns out to be a place even though it did not intent to be…
