I land, therefore I am

Landscape is a free creation of what had existed, what is existing and what will — hopefully — exist on the planet. It could be either natural or artificial. However, talking about landscape architecture brings us more on shaping and enriching the experience under our feet. It is sort of an artificial but seemingly natural environment in the middle of the manmade city. It surrounds people as people occupy it. It serves as a bridge between people and the nature that they had once begun their journey in. It reminds them where they came from, how they evolved in time and finally why they ended up with such a chaotic cosmopolitan habitat that in no way matches with their identity, desires, needs or appearance.

Landscape — thus — takes people’s free mind into the place. It — in a way — connects all their activities, life, and breath onto the earth. It transforms the soil, turns it into a land; transforms the land and turns it into an environment and finally it transforms the environment and turns it into an experimental space. It reminds them that people exist as they are alive, they exist as they are connected to the land and they exist, therefore they are.
